The Cedar Unit is a new, dedicated end of life and palliative care unit based within Haven Court. Our aim is to provide care, comfort and compassion at the end of life.
The Cedar Unit is a calm and dignified place for people who have a palliative, life limiting illness and are in the last days / weeks of their life. Our nurse led team provides high quality, holistic care, to those who prefer not to be at home or in hospital.
Our nurse-led team is supported by consultants in palliative care and local GPs.
We strive to provide a homely, welcoming environment for our patients and all six of our ensuite bedrooms are well-equipped for your needs. The Unit is situated on the ground floor, in a quiet area with a high level of privacy.
Each room is newly decorated, has a TV and access to a garden area via patio doors. Accommodation is also available for relatives or carers who wish to stay overnight.
There is a communal lounge for use by residents and visitors. It has a small kitchen area to prepare drinks and snacks, a television and it access to our quiet garden.
Time is precious, which is why relatives have access to our unit 24/7.
Children are very welcome at The Cedar Unit and we have a dedicated activities space for children and young people. We have an Xbox and number of games.
At The Cedar Unit, we know that our pets are a part of the family, and we are happy to accommodate pet visits.
